About the Artist
Dr. Cortney Baker, a stroke survivor, award-winning founder/CEO of a national healthcare enterprise, wife and mother of 3, turned to art in 2020 to find solace in what felt like a dark, hopeless world. What Cortney discovered was life-changing—a love for painting and the world of art that she'd never known existed. For Cortney, her captivation with art transformed her life, literally and metaphorically, as she found herself finally feeling as if she’d "come home" to her physical home, family, and herself.

Dr. Cortney Baker, CCC/SLP is the founder and CEO of KidsCare Home Health, a national healthcare enterprise serving thousands of children with special needs across 8 states. Starting from humble beginnings, Dr. Cortney followed her desire to create a company where employees were treated with appreciation and respect. KidsCare Home Health opened its doors Oct 27, 2003 with Cortney as the sole therapist serving 10 patients. Today KidsCare is the proud home to over 1,000 employees and has received national recognition as a Top Places to Work for several years, as well as Top Places to Work Dallas in 2023. Dr. Cortney has been honored as a Top Leader in Healthcare and Texas Business Woman of the Year. Cortney a wife and mother of 3 resides in Dallas, Texas with her husband and youngest daughter.
